They freed the slaves and won the Civil War.
Poor people of all colors voted for Franklin D. Roosevelt.
They got Social Security and
won WW II.
Poor people voted for
Lyndon B. Johnson.
They got Medicare, Medicaid,
and the Voting Rights and Civil Rights Acts.
A lot of poor folks of all colors didn't vote in the last election. This is what they got!
